Elon has been recognized for its commitment and dedication to veterans, their spouses and the military community.
Elon University has been designated a 2025-26 Military Friendly School by the veterans advocacy program Military Friendly.
For more than 20 years, the Military Friendly® Schools list has set the standard for higher education institutions to provide the best educational opportunities for veterans, their spouses and the military community.
Military Friendly compiles its list each year based on data from federal agencies, veteran students and a proprietary survey completed by each participating institution. More than 1,800 schools participated in the 2025-26 survey with 830 earning special awards for going above the standard.
Elon received a silver ranking for being within the top 21 percent of all colleges and universities within its category (private schools offering doctorate degrees) receiving the Military Friendly Schools designation. In addition, Elon was also recognized as a 2025-26 Military Spouse Friendly School.
Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by Viqtory with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan
Repayment, Persistence (Degree Advancement or Transfer) and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
The 2025-26 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May and October issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and found at militaryfriendly.com.
