Junior Anna Schimmelfing qualified for the U.S. National Jump Rope Team during the U.S. Trials, held March 17-19 in Boulder, Colo. This is the third consecutive time Schimmelfing has qualified for the national team, and she will compete at the World Jump Rope Championships in July in Toronto.
In previous world championships, Schimmelfing and her five-person group earned silver medals in Ghent, Belgium in 2002 and in Tellebudgerra, Australia in 2004.
Schimmelfing, who teaches a jump rope course offered by Elon Campus Recreation, is a member of the SkipSations! Jump Rope Team, based in Chapel Hill, NC.
