Members of the Project Pericles Class of 2009 were given their charge during a program in Holt Chapel Thursday, April 20. The group of 62 students heard from Steve Braye, who will serve as faculty mentor for the class. The students also listened to presentations by representatives from each of the first three classes of Periclean Scholars, as well as Tom Arcaro, director of Project Pericles at Elon, and Matjiua Kauapirura, Periclean-in-Residence on Elon’s campus from Namibia.
The Periclean Scholars Class of 2009 will soon select a project that they will work on for the next three years. Members of the class are:
