Elon Executive Education kicked off “The Project Leadership Series” with a 3-day Fundamentals of Project Management program on May 23 – 25. Participants included representatives of area companies including LabCorp, GoldToe, Volvo and SouthPoint Group as well as Elon University staff members Bill Brown, Mary Santiago, Brian Baute, JR Shortall, Doug McIntyre and Julie White.
Countless studies and research have shown that only 30-40% of all projects are deemed “successful.” Not only does this represent a 60-70% failure rate, but it also indicates that a massive amount of time and money is wasted on “lost” causes.
The Project Leadership Series is a portfolio of courses and seminars focused on developing and enhancing project delivery success. Participants can earn their certificate in Project Leadership by completing four courses in the series and may prepare for the Project Management Institute’s Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam.
This suite of offerings includes sessions for the practicing project professional, team member, resource manager, functional leader and for the organizational executive. For a complete listing of courses, visit the link below.
The Project Leadership Series is presented in collaboration with Tanden LLC, a premier project management consulting and education firm headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. Chris Wright, President and Managing Principal of Tanden LLC and architect of The Project Leadership Series, is a certified Project Management Professional and serves as VP of Education for the NC chapter of the Project Management Institute.
