Darby, Eke, Fair, and Kiser present at Western Carolina Service-Learning Symposium

Dr. Alexa Darby, Dr. Ocek Eke, Dr. Cynthia Fair, and Prof. Pamela Kiser presented at a the 2nd Annual Service-Learning Symposium at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC. Darby, faculty member in the Department of Psycholoy, and Eke, faculty member in the School of Communications, made a presentation focusing on their Winter Term 2006 course entitled, “Volunteerism and Social Justice in the Wake of Katrina.” Fair and Kiser, faculty members in the Department of Human Services, presented their research in a session entitled, “Testing the Integrative Processing Model: A Framework for Learning from Experience.” Dr. Carolyn Stuart, faculty member in the School of Education also attended the conference. Dr. Robert Bringle, internationally known expert in Service-Learning was the keynote speaker and presented throughout the day.
