Pam Kiser, professor of human services, represented Elon at the Aspen Institute’s Faculty Seminar on “Citizenship and the American Polity” at Wye River, Maryland, July 22-28. Faculty from colleges and universities all over the country read and discussed texts from a variety of disciplines related to the theme. Participants must be nominated by their institutions’ presidents and submit their cv’s in order to be considered for acceptance. The seminar is held once annually and accepts about 40 faculty members per year.
