David Crowe, professor of history, recently published the introductory chapter in the book, “‘Zerstoerer des Schweigwens’: Formen kunstlerischer Erinnerung an die nationalsozialistische Rassen- und Vernichttungspolitik in Osteuropa.” The book is composed of chapters by prominent scholars in Germany and deals with post-Holocaust memory in Eastern Europe after World War II.
Crowe’s chapter, which he originally presented at a seminar at the University of Heidelberg, deals with the impact of the Holocaust on the Roma in Central and Eastern Europe.
