Lecture on a Queer Theology and Images of the Crucifixion

Please mark your calendars for an upcoming event co-sponsored by Spectrum and the Religious Studies Honor Society to mark National Coming Out Day. Kent L. Brintnall, a Ph.D. candidate from Emory University, will be presenting a lecture entitled “Reading the Body on the Cross: Queer Theologies of the Crucifixion” on Thursday, October 12th from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in McEwen 210. This conversation and the following discussion will broach questions about the relationships between religion and eroticism, masochism and masculinity, visual culture and theology.
