Gallucci publishes journal article

“Learning Concepts with Cases” by Kathy Gallucci, assistant professor of biology, was published in the Journal of College Science Teaching in the October 2006 volume, pages 16-20. The article discusses the case study method as an effective pedagogy to address the principles of science education identified by the National Research Council. These include addressing prior knowledge, building a conceptual framework of knowledge, and coaching students to use metacognitive strategies.
