Alec French, adjunct professor of health and human performance, is the recipient of the North Carolina Alliance for Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (NCAAHPERD) Honor Award. The Honor Award recognizes outstanding contributions to the profession and is NCAAHPERD’s highest award. French was recognized at NCAAHPERD’s annual convention in Greensboro Nov. 18.
NCAAHPERD mission is to provide advocacy, professional development, and unity for health, physical education, recreation, dance, and athletics professionals and students in order to enhance and promote the health of North Carolinians. It is one of North Carolina’s oldest professional associations dedicated to the advancement of research and education within the fields of Athletics, Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
