Pianist Pamela Howland to perform April 18 at Elon College

ELON COLLEGE – Pamela Howland will perform Sunday, April 18 in Yeager Recital Hall in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts at Elon College.

The 3 p.m. performance is free and open to the public. The recital of Eastern European piano music will feature works by Bartok, Kodly, Janacek and Paul Schoenfeld.

Howland has performed extensively as a soloist and chamber musician in both North and South America. She has been the featured soloist on live public radio broadcasts in Minnesota, New York and North Carolina. Her newest CD, a collaboration with tenor Richard Heard, features African-American art songs and spirituals.

She has a bachelor’s and master of music degrees from the Wisconsin Conservatory and a doctorate from the Eastman School of Music.
