ELON COLLEGE – Elon College has been named a top school in four categories in the 2000 edition of the Kaplan Newsweek college guide.
Elon was included in the following categories:
Schools that are “hidden treasures” – terrific colleges that aren’t as well known as they should be.
Schools offering the maximum amount of individual academic attention
Schools providing a good liberal arts education.
Schools with notable study abroad programs.
The rankings are based on surveys of 4,500 high school counselors nationwide, from both public and private high schools. The counselors were asked to tell the guide about the colleges they know best.
