Elon Students for Peace and Justice will sponsor a luncheon at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 17 in the Isabella Cannon Room on campus to raise awareness about world hunger.
The luncheon will benefit OXFAM, an international group of 11 autonomous non-government organizations. OXFAM members share a commitment to address the structural causes of poverty, hunger and related injustice. In 1997-98, OXFAM raised approximately $390 million in over 100 countries.
