Elon hosting program for student residence advisors at colleges

ELON COLLEGE – More than 250 students who work in residence life at 23 North Carolina universities and colleges will meet Saturday, Feb. 12 at Elon College.

The RA Drive-In, which is held annually, features programs on everything from conflict resolution to spending a semester at sea. Students will present all the programs during the daylong conference, said Celeste Young, a student life administrator at Elon College. “This is a wonderful opportunity for students to learn how to present at conferences.”
The keynote speaker is Judith Haas, assistant director of Student Judicial Affairs at Appalachian State University who also has worked in residence life.

“This conference gives these students a chance to see what others are doing at their schools,” Young said. “They also can pick up new ideas.”
