Father-daughter gospel team to perform Feb. 24 at Elon College

ELON COLLEGE – Jerry and Tammy Sullivan, a father and daughter gospel team, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 24 in McCrary Theatre on the Elon College campus.
The concert is free and open to the public.

The Sullivans’ performances aren’t limited to churches in the South. They also appear at bluegrass festivals, in concerts with country stars such as Travis Tritt, Marty Stuart and Waylon Jennings, and at summer music festivals in large urban areas.

“The New York Times” characterized the Sullivans’ music as “hard-picking, string-crazy Southern gospel, as ecstatic and exuberant as the best rock-and-roll.”

“The Chicago Tribune,” “Billboard Magazine” and “The New York Times” chose their album, “A Joyful Noise” as one of the top 10 albums of the year in 1991. The title song from their 1995 release, “At the Feet of God,” was nominated for a Grammy.
