Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic to perform March 6 at Elon

ELON COLLEGE – The Bohemian Chamber Philharmonic will perform at
8 p.m. Monday, March 6 in the McCrary Theatre in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts at Elon College.

Tickets are $12 or free with Elon College identification. To reserve tickets call the college’s box office at 336-584-2199 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Founded in 1969 in the eastern Bohemian city of Pardubice in the Czech Republic, this group is considered the finest mid-sized Czech orchestra. The orchestra has made more than 300 tours abroad. It currently is making its first American tour. Fan-favorite Michiko Otaki will perform with the orchestra.

The program includes Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 5 in B Major, D. 485; Robert Schumann’s Piano Concerto in a minor, Op. 54; Felix
Mendelssohn’s Overture to the Fair Melusine, Op. 32 and Antonin
Dvorak’s Czech Suite, Op. 39.
