The Department of Music will present Handel’s “Messiah” at 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 27 in McCrary Theatre, located on the Elon campus in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.
Conductor Stephen A. Futrell will lead the Elon College Camerata, Chorale and orchestra, along with a chorus composed of alumni, faculty and community members, in this presentation of G.F. Handel’s masterpiece. Featured soloists include Polly Cornelius, soprano; Mary Gayle Green, mezzo; Brian Ernstes, tenor; and Kevin Bell, bass.
The concert is free and open to the public. It is supported in part by a grant from the Grassroots Arts program of the North Carolina Arts Council, a state agency, through the Alamance Arts Council.
