Courtroom drama “Twelve Angry Jurors” opens Oct. 24

The Department of Performing Arts will present “Twelve Angry Jurors” beginning at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 in the Black Box Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon campus.

This riveting legal drama looks inside the jury room for the deliberation of a seemingly “open and shut” case in which a son is accused of fatally stabbing his father. Tempers get short and arguments grow heated for the twelve jurors as they re-examine the case, each revealing their own character in the process.

The play is directed by senior acting major Kevin Hoffman and based on Reginald Rose’s television movie.

Show times are 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24 through Saturday, Oct. 27, with a 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, Oct. 27 and Sunday, Oct. 28. Tickets are $10 or free with Elon identification. Reservations are recommended and can be secured by calling the Black Box reservation line at (336) 278-5650.
