ELON COLLEGE – The Department of Performing Arts at Elon College will present the musical, “Crazy For You,” Thursday, Nov. 4-Sunday, Nov. 7 in McCrary Theatre in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.
Performances begin at 8 p.m. each night as well as 2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 and are available by calling the Elon College Box Office at
336- 584-2199.

“The play, which won the Tony Award for best musical in 1992, features 18 George Gershwin songs, including “Embraceable You,” “I Got Rhythm” and “Somebody to Watch Over Me,” ” said Catherine McNeela, the musical’s director and associate professor of performing arts. “The zany plot concerns a playboy banker sent by his no-nonsense mother to foreclose on an old theater in Deadrock, Nev., where he becomes both stage-struck and love-struck by the only girl in town.”

McNeela said the musical is suitable for families. “If you love the old movies of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and Gene Kelly, you will love this play,” she said.
