ELON COLLEGE – Leahy, a singing and dancing family from Canada, will perform at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 2 in McCrary Theatre in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.

The Leahys, who are from Ontario, are a group of five sisters and four brothers, who have been the opening act for Shania Twain’s 1998 North American tour. The group’s performance, which has been compared to Riverdance, includes music with a Celtic and Canadian-folk flavor combined with French-Canadian step-dancing.
Leahy has had a number one country single in Canada. Their debut album went platinum in their native country and also reached number four on Billboard’s top world music albums chart last summer.
