The Elon University Jazz Ensemble will present its spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, in McKinnon Hall on the campus of Elon University. Admission is free and open to the public.
Directed by Jon Metzger, the ensemble will perform two sets of music, consisting of a mixture of big band swing and salsa. Vocalists will join the band on select songs, and intermissions will feature small instrumental groups.
Elon student Kiira Schmidt will lead free dance instruction before the concert at 6:30 p.m. Audience members at the concert are free to dance with the music or sit and listen to the show.
