Elon University will serve as a host site for three courses in the Duke University Certificate Program in Nonprofit Management. The one-day courses, which will be held in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., are designed to enhance the skills of nonprofit organization members, leaders and directors.
The courses scheduled at Elon are:
- Wednesday, Sept. 25-“Laying the Essential Groundwork For Your Strategic Plan”
- Friday, Oct. 25-“Board Fundamentals”
- Tuesday, Nov. 12-“Planning and Leading Board Retreats.”
The Duke Certificate Program provides support to a variety of nonprofit organizations, schools, foundations and service groups through courses taught in 35 cities across North Carolina. Courses teach fundamental organizational and management principles to help nonprofits enhance their management, systems and service to the community. Students enrolled in the program are certified after completing 50 hours.
