Two Elon alumni will be honored at a luncheon hosted by the Dan River Region of the Association of Fundraising Professionals in Danville, Va., Monday, Nov. 11. The luncheon will be held at noon at the Stratford Conference Center.
Barbara Day Bass ’61 will be honored with the Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser award, and Darice Fichter ’02 will receive the Outstanding Young Philanthropist award. Both were nominated by Bea Sanford, director of planned giving at Elon and the association’s president-elect.
William Andes ’35 will offer the invocation and Alex Vardavas ’72, a regional media personality, will emcee the luncheon.
