Elon Chamber Orchestra concert, Nov. 21

The Elon University Chamber Orchestra will perform its fall concert at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on campus.

The orchestra, conducted by Professor David Bragg, is comprised of community musicians and selected Elon students, and is dedicated to playing standard classical orchestral pieces.

Soloists for the concert will be senior trumpeter Eric Chaiken, performing Haydn’s “Trumpet Concerto,” and eight young Suzuki cellists performing Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Cello.” The orchestra will also perform Gershwin’s “Rhapsody in Blue” and Handel’s “Entrance of the Queen.”

The performance is free and open to the public.
