The Elon University Art Department will hold a reception to open its faculty exhibit from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 10 in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on campus.
The exhibit, which was last held in 1999, will include paintings, photographs, fibers, digital images, ceramics and mixed media works by art department faculty. The display allows faculty members to showcase their work as active professional artists and gives new art students an understanding of each faculty member’s personal interests and abilities. Each faculty member was invited to exhibit two or three works of their choice. The display will be open through Feb. 17.
Faculty will be on hand at the reception to talk about their works, and refreshments will be provided. The reception is free and open to the public.
