The Elon University Jazz Ensemble will perform a variety of big-band arrangements during its final concert of the academic year at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 3 in McKinnon Hall, located in the Moseley Center on campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Jon Metzger, the band will perform well-known jazz standards, including George Gershwin’s “Nice Work If You Can Get It” and John Green’s “Body and Soul.” The program will also feature jazz classics such as “’Round Midnight” by Thelonious Monk and “Moose the Mooche” by Charlie Parker.
