Labyrinth on display at Elon, Nov. 14-16

A labyrinth patterned after one found in Chartres Cathedral in France will be on display from 1 p.m.-8 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Nov. 14-16 in McKinnon Hall on the campus of Elon University. The display is open to the public.

Individuals may walk through the labyrinth, which is an ancient symbol that relates to wholeness. It combines the imagery of a circle and a spiral into a meandering path. The labyrinth pattern is an archetypal form found all over the world that has been used for centuries as a tool for reflection, meditation and deep self-knowledge.

The labyrinth is sponsored by Elon’s Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life.
