Italian-American virtuoso James Tocco will perform the Adams Foundation Recital at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 9 in Whitley Auditorium on the Elon University campus. The recital series is sponsored by the Times-News and Elon University.
Tocco has been widely praised for his interpretations of Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt, as well as 20th-century composers. Tocco serves as Eminent Scholar/Artist in Residence at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. He is also professor piano at the Manhattan School of Music and the Musikhochschule in Lübeck, Germany.
Tickets for the recital are $15 or free for those with valid Elon University identification. Tickets may be purchased at the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
