New York City casting director Dave Clemmons will hold a master class at 6:30 p.m., Monday, April 14 in Yeager Recital Hall. The class will feature nine Elon students who will showcase their singing talents.
Clemmons casts Broadway and off-Broadway shows, as well as national tours and regional theatre. As an actor, Clemmons has appeared on Broadway in “Les Miserables,” “The Civil War” and “The Scarlet Pimpernel.” He owns his own company, Dave Clemmons Casting.
Recently, Clemmons was a keynote speaker at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Arlington, Va. When asked where he finds great talent, he said he keeps tabs on the great programs around the country and that he believes one of “the best programs is at Elon University.”
