Hiroko Takanashi, assistant professor of Japanese, has had a paper accepted for presentation at the 10th International Pragmatics Conference, in Göteborg, Sweden, scheduled for July 2007. The paper is titled “Framing self-directed humor by Japanese women,” which is a contribution to the panel “Humorous self-disclosure: Age, culture, and gender.
