Ceramic artist Mark Gordon of Barton College in Wilson, N.C., will present images of clayworkers from 20 countries during a presentation from 4 p.m.-5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 24 in the Isabella Cannon Room, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. His presentation, sponsored by the Susan Patton Ceramic Program Enhancement Fund, is free and open to the public.
Gordon, a former Fulbright Scholar and NEA Arts Midwest recipient, gathered the images during 12 years of research on the world’s clay artists. He has an extensive record of solo and national group exhibitions.
