More about the position:
The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations for Young Alumni is responsible for programs and events that foster loyalty and support from alumni who have graduated within the last 10 years. The primary responsibility of this position will be to encourage, cultivate and manage the involvement of young alumni in the life of the University.
This position is responsible for managing the 5th and 10th class reunions, researching the viability of a young alumni event during Homecoming and implementing event, if found to be sustainable. The assistant director will collaborate with campus partners and create and manage a Young Alumni Leadership Day. In addition to this and other programming responsibilities, this position will plan and produce a regular e-newsletter for Young Alumni.
Qualifications:
We are seeking an individual with a bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience in the alumni relations or a related field. Applicants should have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work as a part of a team in a service-oriented environment, and exhibit strong organization, written and oral communication skills. Experience in recruiting, training, motivating and managing volunteers is essential. A strong initiative, orientation to detail and efficiency are a must. Elon graduates are encouraged to apply.
