Kevin Boyle’s poem “The Lullaby of History” is included in The Book of Irish American Poetry From the Eighteenth Century to the Present (Notre Dame Press). Boyle’s work takes up two pages out of 925 — so there is plenty of room for other Irish Americans like Billy Collins, Frank O’Hara, Alan Dugan and John Berryman. The book was edited by Dan Tobin and costs only $65!
