Daylight Saving Time Impacts Technology
In preparation for the Daylight Saving Time (DST) change on Sunday, March 11, Instructional and Campus Technology has taken steps to prepare our systems. All systems at ElonUniversity, including Elon owned desktops/laptops, are DST compliant.
If you have personally owned computers, you will want to download the latest Operating System patches from Windows or Macintosh to make sure they are DST compliant.
If you use a PDA/Smartphone (e.g. Treo, Motorola Q), please do not download any DST patches from the web. While some shifts in calendar information may occur, we are anticipating resolutions from our software providers early next week.
Please use your desktop/online calendar for the most accurate calendar information during this transition period. Many software companies are recommending as a final precaution, that heavy calendar users may want to print a copy of their Outlook Calendar for the next 2 weeks.
