Become a shareholder in Spring Break Katrina Relief Trip

Dear Friends,

Following Hurricane Katrina, there remains much work to be done to redevelop the gulf coast area. Beginning in September 2005, Elon University responded to this need, and made a commitment to the town of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi for sustained Hurricane Katrina relief. Our eighth trip to the area will take place during the upcoming Spring Break with 22 student volunteers and 3 staff members.

While each participant has contributed $200 toward the expenses of the trip, additional money is needed due to recent increases in the cost of gas and other expenses.

Therefore, we invite you to become a Shareholder in this relief trip by contributing $25 per share. As a Shareholder you will participate in the redevelopment of a community and help families return to their homes. In return, you will receive a group photo of the Elon University volunteers at work in Mississippi and be invited to attend our closing reflection ceremony upon our return to Elon.

Make checks payable to Elon University and mark them for “Spring Break Katrina Relief Trip.” Please drop off your check at the Kernodle Center for Service Learning (Moseley 230) or mail checks to:
