Bethelwoods Summer Camp taking applications for Christian counselors

Love working with kids? Fan of the outdoors? Want a fun and rewarding job this summer set in a Christian environment? Bethelwoods summer camp in York, SC is taking applications through May for anyone 18 or older who may be interested in working as a camp counselor May 29-August 4.

Room and board are included for the summer, and there is a six-day break Friday, June 29th – Friday, July 6th. Most weekends are also free; room and board still available. Pay for first time counselors is $190/wk before taxes; additional certification in lifeguarding or first aid, as well as musical ability and willingness to lead or co-lead nightly worship activities, may constitute additional pay by the final week.

Activities include canoeing, archery, hiking, swimming, arts and crafts, challenge courses, outdoor games and sports, theatre, camping and Bible study. If hired, you would be working with children ranging from grades K-12 at different times throughout the summer.

Bethelwoods aims to foster community among campers and staff to create a unique Christian opportunity for spiritual learning and growth in a natural setting with activities leading to responsible appreciation and use of all God’s creation and to deeper personal relationships with God and with one another.

Please don’t let distance be a factor – Bethelwoods has welcomed counselors from all across the globe, most recently from Nebraska, Canada and Virginia.
