The Relay For Life event was held April 25-26 and although the weather could have been much nicer, the Leisure and Sport Management 327-Leadership & Event Management class activity was a great success. Although the final figures are still being tabulated, and a few checks are still trickling in, there were a total of 11 campus-based teams participating in the all night event; a Cancer Survivor Dinner was held; and approximately 120 luminaries lined the track during the night. The total raised for Alamance County cancer research is approximately $4,800. Congratulations to the 22 students who worked very hard to bring this event to fruition!
