Physics suite named in honor of Professor Frank Harris

A gift from 1982 alumnus Brad Koury has named the physics suite in McMichael Science Center in honor of Professor Frank Harris. Details...

The dedication of the E. Frank Harris ’66 Physics Suite was held May 9 on McIver Terrace at McMichael Science Center. Frank Harris graduated from Elon in 1965 and joined the Department of Physics in 1967 after earning his master’s degree. He has taught in the physics department for 40 years. Thanks to a generous gift for endowment from Brad Koury ’82, the physics suite on the second floor will bear Frank’s name.

Harris was honored for his work at the dedication by President Leo M. Lambert, President Emeritus Earl Danieley and Steven House, dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences.

The reception was attended by Frank’s two sons, Joe and Martin, and current and past members of the physics department.
