The Elon University Jazz Ensemble is holding auditions for Fall 2007. This group is an academic class for 1 s.h. through the Music Department, and meets Tuesdays and Thursday from 12:25 to 2:05 in ARTS 164. A general interest meeting and syllabus distribution will be held on Tuesday, August 28th at 12:25 in ARTS 164, and audition music will be distributed then (it is also available outside of Dr. Buckmaster’s office, ARTS 225). Auditions will be held for saxes, vocalists, and rhythm section (piano, bass, guitar, drum set, and vibes) on Thursday, August 30th at 12:25 in ARTS 164 on a first-come basis, and auditions for trumpets and trombones will be on Tuesday, September 4th at the same time and place.
