Andy Angyal, professor of English, gave a paper titled “Thomas Berry’s Earth Spirituality and The Great Work” at the Metanexus Institute’s conference “Works of Love: Scientific and Religious Perspectives on Altruism,” held at Villanova University in Villanova, Pa. May 31-June 5.
Angyal’s paper examines the ways in which enhanced awareness of earth spirituality could lead to a new understanding of rights for nonhuman life and expansions of Earth jurisprudence efforts.
