Elon sophomore Andrea Cameron will compete in the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant June 18-21 at Memorial Auditorium in Raleigh. Cameron, who won the Miss Raleigh local pageant, is one of 27 contestants.
Cameron is a music theatre major at Elon who will sing for the talent portion of the pageant. Her platform for the pageant is osteoporosis awareness and prevention.
The Miss North Carolina Scholarship Pageant is the qualifying event for the Miss America Pageant, scheduled for Sept. 20.
