The Truitt Center for Religious and Spiritual Life will sponsor its annual holiday celebration Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. About 1,500 luminarias will line the sidewalks from Alamance Building through Scott Plaza and onto Young Commons. Details...
The event will include carol singing, the lighting of thousands of lights in the trees on the main campus quad, the Dickens Carolers, the Elon Brass Quintet, a Hanukkah Blessing, hot chocolate and cider, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Be sure to place this special Elon community event on your holiday calendar.
Immediately following the Lighting of the Luminaries, Alex Weiss & Different Drum, the Raleigh/Durham-based five-piece Afro/Latin Ensemble, will perform in McKinnon Hall until 8:30 p.m. as part of the “Footprints of Africa” program taking place this week at Elon University. “Footprints of Africa” is sponsored by the Periclean Scholars classes of 2009 and 2010.
