Campus Dining welcomes Southern Tsunami Sushi to campus operated by AFC, Advanced Fresh Concepts Corp. AFC is a premier Sushi company in North America since 1986. They have opened and operated more than 1200 sushi bars across the U.S. including several sushi programs at universities including East Carolina University, James Madison University, UNCG and UVA. AFC provides trained chefs and all the raw materials to operate a sushi program.
What is sushi? Sushi is a Japanese culinary tradition; an art form which was developed over one thousand years ago. Sushi is seasoned rice, formed in a roll with toasted seaweed or into individual pieces. It is usually combined with a variety of vegetables and sometimes with seafood. Most of the seafood is either cooked, smoked or pickled. AND it’s low in fat and cholesterol!
