On April 1-2, 2008, Toddie Peters, an associate professor of religious studies, was one of two speakers offering keynote addresses at the Brueggemann/Kulenkamp Lectures at Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis.
This year’s theme is “Globalization and its Challenge to the Church” and Peters will offer two addresses. The first is titled “Changing Direction: Theological Resources for Engaging Globalization” and the second “Changing Direction: Strategies for Living Faithfully as First World Christians.”
Peter Paris, emeritus professor from Princeton Theological Seminary, joins Peters as the second keynote speaker. A panel of alumni from Eden will host a panel on Tuesday afternoon, April 1, to respond to and discuss Peters’ book, In Search of the Good LIfe: The Ethics of Globalization.
