Senior physics major George Hall received the Best Undergraduate Student Paper award for a presentation given at the fall sectional meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers. He competed against students from institutions throughout North Carolina presenting their physics research.
Mr. Hall’s talk, titled “Flaw Detection Through Nondestructive Means in Flex Hoses,” summarized his summer research conducted at NASA Langley Research Center as part of the National Science Foundation’s Research Experience for Undergraduates program. His certificate and cash prize were announced at a recent spring NCS-AAPT meeting.
