The Associated Press reports that the Federal Communications Commission is using the work of an Elon team led by Connie Book, associate dean of the School of Communications, in analyzing the DTV transition test which took place in Wilmington, N.C., Sept. 8.
Students fielded telephone calls at Wilmington TV stations after the stations turned off programming from their analog signal broadcasts. They found that people were aware of the transition, but many encountered antenna problems.
