Composer Todd Coleman, assistant professor of music and coordinator of the music technology degree program at Elon University, has had many recent performances of his music in the last few months, throughout the United States and around the world.
These include performances of his choral work, “Trees,” in the Netherlands by Dutch a capella group Vocal Group Blended; in Durban, South Africa by the KwaZulu-Natal Youth Choir; and by Il Coro Polifonico Universitario in Naples, Italy.
His composition for flute choir titled “Wind Dance” was performed at the 35th Annual National Flute Association Convention in Albuquerque, N.M., by the Fiesta Flute Orchestra and by the Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Flute Society of Washington’s Mid-Atlantic Flute Fair. His most recent commission, “Pulse,” for wind ensemble, was performed throughout the country during the spring by Middle Tennessee State University, Harding, St. Thomas, University of Utah, Troy State, University of Illinois, University of Minnesota at Morris, UNC Wilmington, Grinnell College, University of Wisconsin at River Falls, SUNY Potsdam and at Elon.
