The University Lyceum Committee will host La Catrina Quartet on Dec. 2 in Whitley Auditorium for a performance of Mexican and Latin American art music and the masterworks of the string quartet repertoire.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m.
The young quartet formed in 2001 has won numbers awards and performed in Washington, Baltimore, Chicago, Los Angeles and La Jolla. In 2007, they were featured as one of the “next generation of classical stars” in a showcase performance at Carnegie Hall having been selected thought the highly competitive Young Performers Career Advancement Program.
Tickets are available in the Center for the Arts box office and free to students, faculty and staff.
