Alumni to offer theater master classes, Nov. 10-11

Dan Callaway, Nancy Snow and Allison Spratt, all 2000 Elon graduates, will be on campus Nov. 10-11 to offer master classes in fine arts.

All three have made successful careers on stage. Callaway’s credits include the Broadway national tour of “Phantom of the Opera,” “One Touch of Venus” at the Royal Opera House, as well as work at the Heritage Repertory Theatre and Seaside Music Theatre.

Snow has been in the ensemble and served as a standby for Christine in the nationa tour of “Phantom of the Opera,” a role as Peggy Sue/Mary Lou Sokoloff in the national tour of “The Buddy Holly Story,” and stints at the Flat Rock Playhouse and Lake’s Region Theatre.

Spratt’s credits include an ensemble role and serving as standby for Emma in the national tour of “Jekyll and Hyde,” playing Sally Bowles in the national tour of “Cabaret,” and the part of Sandy in the European tour of “Grease.”

Callaway, Snow and Spratt will perform and answer questions about the business of show business at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 11 in Yeager Recital Hall, located in the Center for the Arts. The session is free and open to everyone.

On Monday, Nov. 10, they will offer specialized courses for drama and theatre students, covering such practical topics as preparing for auditions and securing the services of an agent.
