Please join North Carolina furniture business CEO and longtime civil rights advocate Mitchell Gold on April 14 for a discussion on his transformative book CRISIS as he addresses the personal, social and religious pain and trauma of growing up gay in America. This discussion is one that educators, social workers, church leaders and elected officials in the Elon community and surrounding areas will not want to miss.
In 2005, he founded of Faith in America, an N.C.-based national nonprofit organization that works to educate the public about the harm caused when religion is misused to justify bigotry, prejudice, discrimination and violence against gay and lesbian Americans. He published CRISIS in September 2008 as a tool to help people better understand the harm caused by a societal climate of rejection and condemnation and the book has been transforming hearts and minds ever since.
Please join him on April 14 at The Elon School for this timely and informative discussion.
